About Us

Babù stems from the idea of a professional mum.

Since giving birth to her children, this mum started thinking about a “place that Rome doesn’t offer”. A venue, a meeting point that would welcome her and her children. A peaceful corner where one can relax as the children play, while perhaps sipping a soothing cup of tea or having an aperitif with girlfriends or where, if necessary, one can cast a quick glance at one’s computer while working on a job or research project!

In other words, a place where both children and adults get the attention they need coupled with lots of opportunities!

This much-coveted desire turned into an idea… the idea into a project and… the project has given us babù, our corner, a new way to experience the city, a meeting place for our neighbourhood and for all those who will wish to join us.

Architect, mother to  Camilla and Tommaso, organiser and designer.
As a mum, she strongly feels the need for somewhere that will welcome her and her children. The brave idea of coming up with something more for families with children slowly starts taking shape in her mind.
She decides to set up a new kind of welcoming space, tailored to the needs of adults and their children and based on a Northern European concept and model, which is still in its infancy in Rome.
Thus the arduous search for the right place begins and then… the actual work kicks off and every detail of the project is taken care of.

Co-pilot in this venture, she too is an architect and she is mother to Filippo; she slowly falls in love with this project and, with her friend Cristiana, she shares in the great enthusiasm of setting up a unique space designed for family fun. She actively takes part in the achievement of this objective which is to all intents and purposes a way of life. And once babù is up and running it feels a bit like her own home.
